About UsThe Greene County YMCA was chartered in November, 1969. In 1978, $1.3 million was raised to build a new facility on the current 10 acre site which was opened in 1980. An additional campaign for major renovations to the building was completed in 1996. The latest campaign to add 22,000 square feet of new space, plus major renovation was completed in 2007 at a cost of $2.7 million.
The Greene County YMCA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, who each serve a 3-year term. An Executive Director and 8 full-time staff members are responsible for managing the daily operations of the organization.
