CertificationsThe Greene County YMCA periodically offers specialized certifications in CPR, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen Administration.
CPR for the Professional Rescuer
This CPR program is a basic life support program designed for health care providers and first responders inside and outside of the hospital. The program covers sudden cardiac arrest; heart attack and stroke; foreign body airway obstruction; 1 and 2 person CPR for adult, infant and child; and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Basic First Aid
Program participants learn to recognize and react to the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illnesses. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies like shock, burns, strains, sprains and seizures is covered.
Emergency Oxygen Administration
Program participants learn how to effectively and correctly administer emergency to a victim.
